Located in Sainshand, the capital of Dornogovi Province, the Danzanravjaa Museum is one of the world’s rare private museums dedicated to preserving the life, works, and historical legacy of Dulduityn Danzanravjaa (1803–1856), the renowned Noyon Khutagt of the Gobi and one of Mongolia’s greatest spiritual leaders, poets, and enlighteners. Burdene Spring is a remarkable natural attraction located 27 kilometers southwest of the center of Erdene Soum in Dornogovi Province. Covering an area of more than 11.1 hectares, it is renowned for its beautiful combination of sand dunes, natural springs, and unique Gobi Desert scenery. Located 45 kilometers south of Olgii City, Tolbo Lake is one of Mongolia’s major lakes. The lake stretches from southeast to northwest and occupies a tectonic basin, while its water body was formed through glacial processes. The area around Devel Island, located along the Usan Khooloi River flowing from Achit Lake and the Khovd River on the border of Bayan-Ölgii and Uvs provinces, was designated as a protected area by Resolution No. 29 of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia in 2000. The purpose of this protection is to conserve rare and endangered species found in Mongolia, including pheasants, wild boars, beavers, and wild sea buckthorn. Achit Lake is fed by several rivers and streams, including Tsagaan Nuur River, Khatuugiin Gol, Bukh Mörön, and Uliastai River, which originate from the snowfields and glaciers of the Tsengelkhairkhan and Turgen mountain ranges, major branches of the Mongolian Altai Mountains. The lake releases its excess water through a single outlet known as Usan Khooloi River, which flows into the Khovd River.
Khar Yamaat is located in eastern Mongolia, on the border between the southeastern part of Bayan-Ovoo Soum in Khentii Province and the northwestern part of Tumentsogt Soum in Sukhbaatar Province. The highest point in the area is Tumentsogt Mountain, which rises to 1,358 meters above sea level.
