Burkhan Khaldun Mountain is a sacred mountain located in Ondorkhaan soum (Omnodolger area) of Khentii Province, within the Khentii mountain range. It is one of the most important spiritual and historical sites in Mongolia and is deeply connected to the legacy of Chinggis Khan. It is located in Bulgan soum of Omnogovi Province, Mongolia, and is widely recognized for its historical and scientific significance in dinosaur discoveries. Altai Tavan Bogd is a majestic mountain complex located in the far west of Mongolia, on the border of Tsengel and Ulaankhus soums of Bayan-Olgii Province. Lake Khuvsgul, often called the “Blue Pearl of Mongolia,” is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world and a vital natural freshwater reserve. It is located within the territory of Alag-Erdene, Khanh, Renchinlkhumbe, and Chandmani-Undur soums of Khuvsgul Province. It is located in Matad and Khalkhgol soums of Dornod Province in the eastern part of Mongolia. The steppe lies at an average elevation of about 600–900 meters above sea level. In terms of size, it stretches over a vast area approximately 90+ kilometers long and 60+ kilometers wide west of Buir Lake, making it one of the largest flat plains in Mongolia. Tsagaan Suvarga is a uniquely shaped natural formation located in Olziit soum of Dundgovi Province. It consists of colorful cliff formations created by mineral-rich sediment deposits that were once the seabed of an ancient ocean millions of years ago. From a distance, it resembles the ruins of an ancient city or white stupas, which is why it is named “Tsagaan Suvarga” (White Stupa). Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a unique natural rock formation and historical site located in Delgertsogt soum of Dundgovi Province, Mongolia. It lies about 37 km northwest of the soum center and is surrounded by vast flat steppe. The area covers approximately 300 square kilometers and rises to an elevation of 1,768 meters above sea level, forming a distinctive granite rock zone in the middle of the steppe landscape. The Gobi Nature and History Museum, located in Dalanzadgad city of Ömnögovi Province, is one of Mongolia’s oldest museums and a key institution for preserving and presenting the natural, geographical, historical, and cultural heritage of the Gobi region. Situated approximately 540–560 km from Ulaanbaatar, it was established in 1947 and contains over 4,000 rare exhibits, making it one of the most important cultural centers in southern Mongolia. Yoliin Am is a deep and narrow gorge located in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of Omnogovi Province, Mongolia. It is famous for its unique microclimate where ice can persist even during much of the summer season, and for being a habitat for rare wildlife and birds. The gorge is named after the “Yol” (Lammergeier or bearded vulture), a bird native to the region.
